“The Lost World”
Arthur Conan Doyle, a follower of Darwin and famous for his Sherlock Holmes, was inspired by paleontologists and wrote the novel with prehistoric creatures. The Tepui Roraima is considered as the model for the fictitious table mountain in the film. The rock pin, through which the researchers in the film reach the top of the table mountain, is at Tepui Kukenán. The silent film from 1925 is an interesting film document. (more…)
