North India 2016

We needed four days to get into the Spiti Valley: flight to Delhi, train to Chandigarh, bus to Manali and bus via the Rohtang La (3,979 m) and the Kunzum La (4,590 m) to Kaza. We visited the powerful Ki Gompa and trekked from one mountain village to another (max. 4,800 m). The monastery in Dhankar was built stunning on a ridge. The last trekking war to the lake Chandra Taal. We drove from Manali to Dharamshala and to Amritsar to a further highlight of the trip, the Golden Temple. With the night train we came back to Delhi, the end of a strenuous but wonderful journey with “Wikinger Reisen”.
