“Namma” by Kate Karko

The author met in India the Tibetan Tsedup, who fled from China. They fell in love, married and lived in England. After receiving an English passport for Tsedup they spent six months with his nomadic family in Amdo, eastern Tibet. Kate Karko describes her experiences as a namma (engl. bride), life with the nomads and her big family until to the typical behavior of men and women in the tribe as well as the situation of the Tibetans in the country occupied by China. Very worth reading!
